The owners of Crabapple Hollow Village, an Evans City-based candle company, are set to welcome the community to a new artisanal shopping experience with a grand opening event on Saturday, June 22.

Marty and Sherrie Offi opened the storefront at 301 E. Main St. on June 1, showcasing a selection of local craftsmanship from around 20 local vendors with items such as boutique clothing, jewelry, home décor, handcrafted hardwood furniture and more.

In addition, the store will feature Crabapple Hollow’s own products as well.

“My husband and I started Crabapple Hollow LLC in 2020 and we handcraft all-natural products, such as candles, wax melts and lip balms,” Sherrie Offi said. “We opened up the retail space in Evans City for other vendors to come in and display their products.”

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, the Offis will host the store’s grand opening with a variety of entertainment, refreshments and hourly giveaways.

The Z-Town Street Band will provide live music from noon to 2 p.m.; a ribbon-cutting will be at 1 p.m.

Evans City-based P & B’s Sweets & Eats will be in attendance for the Saturday event, along with Steel Cup Coffee Roasters, based in New Kensington, Westmoreland County.

“We love the small-town atmosphere,” Sherrie Offi said of Evans City. “They’re growing the community and the other business owners have been so welcoming. It's a great town to have a business and to shop and check out.”

Crabapple Hollow Village is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
