Miss Butler County Samantha Roth competed in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant from June 13 to 15 at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York, Pa.

Many activities greeted the young women from around the state who participated in the state competition, including a visit to Harrisburg, luncheon with the York Philanthropy Club, pajama party and movie night, a Barbie-themed ball, Lilac Ball, and others.

Roth most enjoyed the shoe parade at the York Sliders baseball game, in which all contestants decorated a pair of shoes to represent their county or area.

Roth created shoes with a Jeep theme to represent that vehicle’s invention in Butler County during World War II.

She will serve as Miss Butler County until November.
