A new solar leasing program is giving 100 low- and moderate-income families in Southwest Pennsylvania affordable financing options for solar panels.

The Pennsylvania Building Renewables and Investing for Green, Healthy Thriving Community Solar leasing pilot uses the Inflation Reduction Act money to provide leases to families. The program will serve people in 10 counties in Western Pennsylvania, including Butler County.

According to the program’s news release, 100 homeowners will be able to receive these leases through the program.
