The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 election is Oct. 21 for all methods of voting, which includes voting in-person at polling places and by absentee or mail-in ballot.

The Butler County Bureau of Elections is opening for extended hours and extra days for absentee and mail-in voting at the bureau office at 227 W. Cunningham St. in Butler. The bureau will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Oct. 21, 23 and 25, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 and 26, which are Saturdays. The bureau’s normal hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
