Seven Fields man accused of strangling girlfriend
A Seven Fields man is accused of strangling his girlfriend during an argument Friday, Oct. 25.
Shacore M. Proctor, 30, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault.
According to the police report, the girlfriend told police that Proctor grabbed her by the throat, slammed her on the bed and started strangling her. The report further states that when she told him she couldn’t breathe, he replied that he didn’t care and continued strangling her.
She was found to have suffered injuries to her throat and chest which are consistent with strangulation, but declined medical treatment.
Proctor is being held in Butler County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for Friday, Nov. 1, in front of Judge Kevin J. Flaherty.
