Coles sworn in as Cranberry’s newest fire police officer
Longtime firefighter Bryan Coles became Cranberry Township’s latest fire police officer when he took the oath of office during a supervisors’ meeting Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the municipal center.
Supervisors vice chairman and Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company assistant chief Bruce Hezlep swore in Coles, who brings with him more than 20 years of emergency services experience.
An appointed fire police officer is a member of a volunteer fire company with full authority to manage crowds, direct traffic and ensure security as needed.
Coles grew up in Franklin Park and graduated from the Allegheny County Fire Academy in 2001. He served in the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company for several years before joining Cranberry’s company in 2022 as a firefighter.
He and his wife, Angela, have been married for 16 years and own a masonry cleaning and repair company. They have three daughters and one son.
