Ohio man sentenced to prison for trafficking cocaine in Western Pa.
An Ohio man was sentenced to 34 months in prison for cocaine trafficking in Western Pennsylvania, the Department of Justice’s Western District of Pennsylvania announced Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Peter Williams, 58, of Northfield, Ohio, who previously pleaded guilty in this case to possessing with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine base in early 2021, was handed the sentence by Senior United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti.
Williams was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.
According to the Department of Justice, Williams was the subject of a traffic stop on Jan. 5, 2021 on Interstate 80 in Mercer County, during which it was discovered that he possessed more than 300 grams of cocaine.
The Department of Justice reports that Williams has a 40-year, multi-state history of committing serious crimes, including several prior drug trafficking and weapons crimes.
