The state Department of Transportation’s annual Paint the Plow program continues this year. Residents of the District 10 area — Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana and Jefferson counties — are invited to vote on one of 11 plows decorated by high school students to promote winter driving safety.

Among the schools participating in this year’s program is the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School, or vo-tech.

“Use your reason when it’s freezin’” is the theme for this year’s competition.

The public will be able to vote between Monday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 15. The plow that receives the most votes in each district will be declared the “Fan Favorite.”
