The American Red Cross is requesting blood and platelet donations this December, especially from Type O negative donors, to support patients during the holiday season.

Special incentives for donations include a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice from Monday through Dec. 15 and an exclusive Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt for donations from Dec. 16 to Jan. 3, while supplies last. Visit RedCrossBlood.org/Gifts for more details.

With record travel and extended vacations, donor availability is limited, making contributions critical. Donors can schedule appointments via the Red Cross Blood Donor App, RedCrossBlood.org or 1-800-RED CROSS.
