Pitt football to play Toledo in GameAbove Sports Bowl: How to watch, date and more
The Pitt Panthers, who have lost five straight to end the regular season, found out their bowl game fate Sunday evening.
Pitt (7-5) will stay relatively close and take on Toledo in Detroit in the GameAbove Sports Bowl. The game will kick off at 2 p.m. Dec. 26 and will be broadcast on ESPN.
It will be the 38th postseason appearance for the Panthers and third bowl game in Detroit. Pitt last made a bowl game in 2022, beating UCLA in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.
It’s the first meeting against the Rockets since a 2006 Pitt win.
Editor’s note: This story was corrected at 4:15 p.m. Monday to correct that Pitt beat UCLA in 2022.
