Evans City man charged with pointing shotgun at man
An Evans City man was charged after pointing a shotgun at another man and threatening to shoot him, police said.
State police in Butler charged John R. Odoski, 54, with felony possession of a firearm while prohibited and one misdemeanor count each of terroristic threats, simple assault, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession related to a March 24 incident in Forward Township.
Police said they were called to a house in the 1000 block of Mars Evans City Road in response to a March 22 argument at the residence. Police said Odoski and another man were arguing and drinking when Odoski pointed a shotgun at the man and said he would shoot him.
Police said Odoski denied pointing a gun at the man, but another witness at the home said he did. Police located the loaded shotgun along with a small amount of marijuana and a suspected marijuana grinder.
Odoski is being held in Butler County Prison on a $50,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 2 before District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz.
