Mars district hosting autism-friendly open mic night
Mars Area School District is working with Band Together Pittsburgh to hold an autism-friendly open mic night at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Mars Area Middle School.
The event, which will be free and open to the public, will provide an opportunity for student expression, regardless of musical experience or skill level, according to a district news release.
The district will provide amps, microphones, guitars, keyboards and percussion instruments for those who want to perform.
