Seven Fields officials urge residents to protect borough property

Following a graffiti incident at the town park involving young children, Seven Fields officials are seeking solutions to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Security cameras on March 16 captured elementary-aged children scribbling on the monument sign at the Town Park. While officers at the Northern Regional Police Department are aware of the situation, borough officials aren’t planning to take any legal action.

“We’re not pursuing any type of criminal charges or restitution,” said borough manager Tom Smith. “We’re just asking parents to be more aware of what their kids are doing and make sure that they don’t draw on the back of the monument signs.”

Smith said the borough will seek to install Plexiglas on the back of the sign.
