Butler VA celebrates Vietnam War Veterans Day

Since 2017, March 29 has been recognized as National Vietnam War Veterans Day, and the VA Butler Healthcare System is holding two events this weekend to mark the occasion.

On Friday, March 28, the Butler VA is inviting Vietnam veterans and their families to the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center on North Duffy Road in Center Township for a recognition day celebration, where they can receive a commemorative Vietnam Veteran pin. Refreshments will be available.

The following day, the Zelienople American Legion on West New Castle Street will hold a VA Enrollment, Claims, and Information Fair. Here, too, Vietnam veterans can receive a commemorative pin. All veterans are invited to learn more about VA programs.

More commemorative lapel pins for Vietnam veterans are available at VA outpatient centers in Armstrong, Clarion and Lawrence counties, and Cranberry Township between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday.
