Cranberry Township named Banner Community again

Cranberry Township was named a Banner Community by the Allegheny League of Municipalities for the 13th straight year.

The honor recognizes the township’s excellence in fiscal management, transparency, professional development and community engagement.

“We take great pride in receiving this award, as it affirms our commitment to creating a world-class community,” township Supervisor Bruce Hezlep said in a news release. “The community has high expectations, and we work hard daily to meet and exceed those expectations.”

To qualify, municipalities must meet high standards, including participation in government training, active regional collaboration, citizen communication efforts and sustainable practices.
