Yet another business is coming to the Route 228 corridor in Adams Township in the form of a McDonald’s restaurant.

Township supervisors gave final approval to plans for the new McDonald’s location during their meeting on Monday night, April 28. Discussions regarding the new restaurant have been ongoing for the better part of a year, and the location was recommended for final approval by the township’s planning commission at their meeting on April 2.

The new restaurant would be located at the Adams Corners shopping center on Route 228. The shopping center already features an Aldi, GetGo and Sheetz.

The most recent available plans for the McDonald’s, which come from minutes from the November 2024 planning commission meeting, state that the new restaurant will feature 39 parking spaces, including two ADA-accessible spaces, and a double-lane drive-through.

Until the new McDonald’s opens, the closest golden arches are in Cranberry Township, Marshall Township, Wexford and Gibsonia.
