Cranberry proposes amendment to solicitation ordinance
An amendment to Cranberry Township’s Solicitation Ordinance was approved for advertisement at the Wednesday, Oct. 30, meeting and is set to be considered for adoption at the Nov. 21 meeting.
The amendment, which changes permitted solicitation days, introduces tiered penalties, including permanent bans for repeat offenders, and revises the appeals process, strengthens the township’s “Do Not Knock” list.
The “Do Not Knock” list is intended to limit sales solicitations, but excludes political canvassing and is reset each year on Dec. 31. More details on the amendment are available at cranberrytownship.org/donotknock.
