Wreaths Across America growing in Butler County
The national Wreaths Across America program has exploded all across Butler County, thanks to the first patriotic residents to bring it here, Donna Croft and Chuck Veasey.
Since the very first Wreaths Across America ceremony and wreath-laying in North Cemetery three or four years ago, many residents have taken it upon themselves to organize a program for the cemetery or cemeteries in their neighborhoods.
Below is a list of the Butler County cemeteries listed on the Wreaths Across America website where the graves of fallen veterans, from the Civil War to the present, will be honored with a Christmas wreath on Saturday, Dec. 14. Most ceremonies before the wreaths are laid take place at or around noon.
Some cemeteries that do not appear on the Wreaths Across America website may not be listed.
All are welcome to attend the ceremony at one of the cemeteries.
