Jackson Township Supervisors approve Creekside Manor Development
JACKSON TWP — Following a public hearing, supervisors approved the Creekside Manor Planned Residential Development during a meeting on Thursday, April 17.
The application, which was submitted by Hudson Companies, includes three phases and details for the construction of 105 townhomes and 244 apartment units located off Mercer Road.
Creekside Manor was first approved more than three years ago, according to township manager Chris Rearick, but developers presented minor revisions that most notably tweaked Phase 3 of the project.
Kelley Coey, who serves as the Director of Development for Hudson, gave a brief overview of those updates, which included four additional apartment units, up from the 240 that were originally approved.
The plan will include three building types, including one four-story building and two three-story buildings.
Parking spaces were slated to be built underneath each individual unit, but that is no longer the case. To better accommodate future residents, 366 new parking spaces were added, which reduced the amount of impervious surfaces within the development.
According to Rearick, that change created more green space within the plan and made the structures more visually attractive.
The development will also include a community clubhouse and pool.
Rearick noted that construction on Phase 3 of the project could begin as soon as this summer.
